Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to plan your trip to our corner of Ambergris Caye.
Is the property adults only?
Yes. Belize Seaside Casitas is an adults-only (18+) beachfront property — perfect for a relaxing getaway or a romantic honeymoon.
What is security like? Is it a gated community?
We're on the south side of the island, where it's very quiet with little foot traffic. It's a very safe area, and the south side has a neighborhood watch.
There is a fence around the community property line, and there are exterior security cameras on the property.
Is there a store or restaurants close by?
Marins, a small store, is about 1 mile down the road. The best grocery stores are Caribbean Chicken, Superbuy and Walk Mart.
Several restaurants are within 1 to 1.5 miles. Each casita has a cooktop, and a grill is being installed outside the pool house.
Where do we fly into?
Fly into Belize City (BZE). After clearing customs, walk through the airport to the domestic side and take a Tropic Air or Maya Island Air flight to San Pedro — about 15 minutes. Flights run about every hour and cost roughly $70–$90 per ticket.
You can also take the ferry from Belize City, which is about 90 minutes by boat. Ferry schedules vary, so check departure times ahead.
Visit Tropic AirDo we need a rental car? Is there transportation?
The transportation here is a golf cart, and you'll need one to get around. We're about 5 miles south of San Pedro Town — roughly a 20-minute golf cart ride to downtown.
We can set up the rental for you, and the golf cart company will meet you at the airstrip or ferry when you arrive.
How will I find the property?
Our onsite caretaker will meet you when you arrive.
What are the roads like?
Roads on the south side can be bumpy, especially during and after rain, so drive your golf cart with care. There are no Ubers in our area and taxis are limited.
Can I store luggage?
Yes. Guests can store luggage and gear in the garage on the property.
Do I need to bring cash or credit cards?
Yes. Some places only take cash and most prefer it, so travel with as much as you can.
The island accepts Visa and Mastercard only — American Express is not accepted.
Can you help me with booking excursions?
Yes — let us know what you'd like to do and we'll help you arrange it.
